Searching for missing persons in an urban / suburban environment poses several unique challenges. Our team has training on the specifics of operating in this unique environment. - Ground Search and Rescue
Our members are trained to provincial standards capable of providing responders to incidents located anywhere in British Columbia. We maintain full personal protective equipment and communications equipment to support responders anywhere in BC. - Large Search Coordination Speciality:
We are one of the small subset of SAR teams in BC with the equipment and incident management teams to facilitate large scale search of 50-250 responders when necessary (thankfully these events are relatively rare.) - K9 Search
We are fortunate to have a provincially validated search dog with a second dog in training. - RPAS (Drone) Search
We have qualified pilots and visual observers utilizing drones and specialized software to locate objects and persons. - SafetyNet Tracking
Radio frequency tracking to help protect and locate individuals with cognitive conditions such as autism and dementia (we respond to requests for service to individuals with this program.) - Marine Speciality Unit
We have two primary vessels designed to operate on our local waterways providing a safer platform for searching shorelines. Many of our members are trained to the SVOP (Small Vessel Operator Proficiency) level
